“Brooklyn Bridge Rap”

VERSE 1:

I see the Brooklyn Bridge from the Peck Slip School

John Roebling designed the bridge, and he’s very cool

The Bridge has many wire cables

So it’s able to be very stable

They needed the bridge because the water was bad

The boat was ill and the bridge was rad

The ferry was dangerous the water was choppy

They needed it build because the ferries ware sloppy

The streets on New York back then ware dirty

They built the bridge and it was new and sturdy

They tested the bridge with 21 elephants

John Roebling thought the test was elegant

I cross the Brooklyn Bridge once a day

The bridge is free and you don’t have to pay

To build the Brooklyn Bridge it took so long

It took so long so we made a rap song

VERSE 2:

People were afraid to be like Dave Frieder

So they made him the Brooklyn Bridge leader

Under the bridge was a very tall arch

So boats wouldn’t hit it if they were larger

People from Brooklyn can go to Manhattan

Then they take a ferry Island of Staten

While some people did construction

A lot of people got concussions

They started the bridge in 1869

Some people hated it and some said it was fine

The bridge was competed in 1883

People came to visit from across the sea

The Brooklyn Bridge has two tall towers

Each tall tower has a lots of power

The waves were blowing and the water was going

At rap club everybody was flowing

The Brooklyn Bridge is super cool
