This Sunday, October 5th, at Hudson
River Park, Pier 26, had a place outdoor event - SUBMERGE! NYC
Marine Science Festival. The whole happening was devoted to bring awareness to
NYC’s coastal waterways and focus on ocean science while raising awareness
of how people influence our local waterways.
The marine scientists made science
fun with robots,
experiments,
and entertainment, such as life music,
fishing
and
kayaking right on Hudson River.
The last part brought us ultimate excitement
Activities at the River Ranger Tent
included investigation tables,
touchable models
and ocean-themed crafts.
Basia was truly interested in tiny
plankton which she was able to study through a microscope.
